Figure 282 Foot Valves are used on the end of the suction line of non-self priming pumps to prevent the suction line from draining when the pump is not operating. Foot valves have an ANSI Class 125 connection and are available from 2-1/2” (DN65) to 12” (DN300) size with cast iron body, bronze trim, Buna-N rubber seat and a screened inlet. The valves are available with optional Type 316 stainless steel trim and alternate elastomeric materials are available to suit the fluid.
