The Figure 221 and Figure 222 Increasing Size Lever & Weight Swing Check Valves are constructed the same as the straight-thru Figure 220 but have their outlet expanded by one or two sizes. Installing this check valve eliminates the increaser fitting between the pump and the check valve thereby shrinking the footprint of the pump station which can save many times the cost of the check valve.
Figure 221 Single Increasing Check Valves are available from 3” x 4” (DN80 x DN100) to 12” x 14” (DN300 x DN350) with ANSI Class 125 (Figure 221-D) or Class 250 (Figure 221-U) flanged connections.
Figure 222 Double Increasing Check Valves are available from 4” x 8” (DN100 x DN200) to 10” x 14” (DN250 x DN350) with ANSI Class 125 (Figure 222-D) or Class 250 (Figure 222-U) flanged connections.

Series 230 Outside Lever & Spring Swing Check Valves

The Figure 230 is standard with cast iron body with Type 316 stainless steel or bronze body seat, stainless steel hinge shaft and cast iron disc with renewable rubber disc seat for drop tight shutoff. The Figure 230 is available from 2-1/2” (DN65) to 36” (DN900) with ANSI Class 125 (Figure 230-D) or Class 250 (Figure 230-U) flanged connections and its heavy-duty design exceeds the minimum requirements of AWWA C508. Its adjustable external spring assists valve closure to minimize slam and bang when used on the discharge of water and sewage pumps or for a by-pass around a single- acting altitude valve.
