Figure 939 Short Body Wastewater Air & Vacuum Valve
The Figure 939 short body allows it to be used in installations when there is insufficient clearance for the standard elongated body wastewater air & vacuum valve. It is available with 2” or 3” (DN50 or DN80) NPT connection size. The Figure 939 is “full ported” with standard cast iron body and 316 SS trim for working pressure up to 200 PSI (1,378 Kpa). Wastewater air & vacuum valves are often supplied with optional backflushing attachments.

Figure 935 Wastewater Air & Vacuum Valve

The Figure 935 Air & Vacuum valve is recommended when the fluid is not clean, such as wastewater or raw sewage. Its elongated body minimizes spurting and helps keep solids and debris from affecting valve performance. The Figure 935 is available with 2” or 3” (DN50 or DN80) NPT or 4” to 8” (DN100 to DN200) with ANSI or ISO flanged connection. The Figure 935 is a “full port” valve with standard cast iron body and 316 SS float and trim for working pressure up to 200 PSI (1,378 Kpa). Wastewater air & vacuum valves are often supplied with optional backflushing attachments.

Figure 933 KINETIC Deep Well Pump Air & Vacuum Valve
The Figure 933 is a standard Figure 930 KINETIC air & vacuum valve with a “throttle device” installed in its outlet. It is typically installed between the discharge of a deep well vertical turbine or submersible pump and its at-grade check valve to purge air in the column at start up and admit air to break the vacuum and admit air allowing the column to fall at shutdown. The adjustable throttle device can restrict the out flow of air from the column during start-up to establish a backpressure against the pump and slow the ascent rate of the water, minimizing slam and surge. The standard Figure 933 has a cast iron body with NPT connections in sizes ½” (DN15) to 3” (DN80) and ANSI or ISO flanged connection in sizes 3” to 6” (DN80 to DN150), 316 stainless steel float and Buna-N seats for pressure to 400 PSI (2,758 kpa).

Figure 931 KINETIC Slow-Closing Air & Vacuum Valve
The Figure 931 Slow Closing Air & Vacuum Valve is a two-valve assembly consisting of a standard Figure 930 Air & Vacuum Valve mounted on a Figure 284 Surge Check Valve. The Figure 931 is recommended to minimize slam, system shock and valve damage that may occur when a standard air & vacuum valve is suddenly closed by the arriving water. Figure 931 Slow-Closing Air & Vacuum Valve should be considered along pipelines when the fluid velocity could exceed 10 ft/sec (3M /sec), at locations where column separation can occur and at the discharge of large vertical turbine pumps between the pump and the check valve.

Figure 930 KINETIC Air & Vacuum Valve to 4"
Figure 930 Air & Vacuum Valves utilize the KINETIC operating principle and are designed to not blow shut before all the air is vented. They are available from ½” (DN15) to 3” (DN80) with NPT connections and 2” (DN50) to 16” (DN400) with ANSI or ISO flanged connection. The standard valve has a cast iron body and cover, a Type 316 stainless steel float and a Buna-N rubber seat. It is a “full port” valve for maximum air outflow and inflow capacity and is suitable for use with clean water up to 400 PSI (2,758 kPa) and 150F (82C).
