Emergency Cut In Valves Diaphragm Actuated

Water
GA diaphragm actuated emergency cut in valves automatically connect the downstream system to a supplementary supply in the event the downstream pressure falls to a preset minimum.  Once opened at the minimum pressure, the valve will remain open as long as the downstream pressure is below an independent, higher closing pressure.  The valve closes when the downstream pressure rises above the closing pressure and will not re-open until and unless the downstream pressure falls below the minimum.   GA diaphragm actuated emergency cut in valves can be supplied with additional functions such as inlet pressure sustaining, downstream pressure limiting, check and/or solenoid shutoff functions.  See individual Data Sheets for details.

Product versions

Basic Emergency Cut In Valve

Product features and benefits
  • Remain closed as long as the downstream pressure is above the minimum set on the opening pressure pilot
  • Open to connect a supplementary source in the event the downstream pressure falls below the minimum (indicating an “emergency” on the downstream side)
  • Remain open until the downstream pressure rises to the pressure set on the closing pressure pilot.
  • Once closed, the valve will not re-open unless the downstream pressure falls below the opening pressure pilot setting
  • The valve can be supplied with one or both of the following additional functions:
    • Check Feature – prevents reverse flow through valve
    • Solenoid Shutoff – closes or prevents valve from opening anytime by remote electrical signal

Emergency Cut In Valve with Downstream Pressure Limiting

Product features and benefits
  • Remain closed as long as the downstream pressure is above the minimum set on the opening pressure pilot
  • Open to connect a supplementary source in the event the downstream pressure falls below the minimum (indicating an “emergency” on the downstream side)
  • Throttle as needed to limit the downstream pressure to a preset maximum
  • Remain open until the downstream pressure rises to the pressure set on the closing pressure pilot.
  • Once closed by the closing pilot, the valve will not re-open unless the downstream pressure falls below the opening pressure pilot setting
  • The valve can be supplied with one or both of the following additional functions:
    • Check Feature – prevents reverse flow through valve
    • Solenoid Shutoff – closes or prevents valve from opening anytime by remote electrical signal

Emergency Cut In Valve with Upstream Pressure Sustaining

Product features and benefits
  • Remain closed as long as the downstream pressure is above the minimum set on the opening pressure pilot
  • Open to connect a supplementary source in the event the downstream pressure falls below the minimum (indicating an “emergency” on the downstream side)
  • Throttle as needed to sustain a minimum upstream pressure
  • Remain open until the downstream pressure rises to the pressure set on the closing pressure pilot.
  • Once closed by the closing pilot, the valve will not re-open unless the downstream pressure falls below the opening pressure pilot setting
  • The valve can be supplied with one or both of the following additional functions:
    • Check Feature – prevents reverse flow through valve
    • Solenoid Shutoff – closes or prevents valve from opening anytime by remote electrical signal
