World Water Day

General information on World Water Day

Since 1993 the UN has organized World Water Day, which is held annually on March 22 to draw attention to the importance of drinking water and the sustainable management of water use. World Water Day has a different motto every year.

2013 is the International Year of Water Cooperation, and is dedicated to showing how important cooperation is when it comes to water. Events and activities are being held worldwide in order to raise people's awareness of how valuable water is. Companies and individuals have the opportunity to take part in supporting this day in a number of ways.
